Description: Kurzweil 3000 (K3000) is a wonderful study tool, and there is a great deal of e-text production that can be done with it as well. This hands-on class will show you how to use the study skills tools in Kurzweil and then to use the tools that allow you to manipulate the text 'in the background.' The goal is to both improve e-text production and to assist in training students to become independent 'power users' of the program. Participants will be able to do the following:
  • use the K3000 editing tools
  • rezone pages
  • set primary and secondary text
  • highlight and extract text
  • add notes
  • use the KESI automater
Designed for Alternate Media Specialists who are creating KESI files and for High Tech Center Specialists who are teaching Kurzweil to students.
Reimbursement Level: Please be advised that reimbursement is only available for travel expenses for California community college Disabled Student Services Faculty and Staff. Hotel expenses will not be reimbursed.
