Description: Microsoft Word is the most widely used tool for creating electronic text, and PDF is the most widely used delivery format. Learn to create documents which are accessible to screen readers and other assistive computer technologies by starting with MS Word and then creating accessible PDFs. This hands-on training will provide direct experience with creating accessible documents based on the LIST model for access. Participants will be able to do the following: Participants will be able to do the following:
  • understand what it means to create accessible documents
  • follow the “LIST” model with Microsoft Word to develop accessible documents
  • utilize styles to create structure
  • use the accessibility action wizard in Adobe Acrobat Pro to convert from MS Word documents to accessible PDFs
Reimbursement Level: Please be advised that reimbursement is only available for travel expenses for California community college Disabled Student Services Faculty and Staff. Hotel expenses will not be reimbursed.
